Arabic CV builder with a layout that reads right to left

Many CV tools treat Arabic as an afterthought: punctuation jumps to the wrong side, dates flip and English terms break the line. Sira CV lays out Arabic CVs right to left from the start, in the same 34 templates as every other language.

Right-to-left done properly

  • Headings, bullets, dates and contact details align to the right, and the section order reads naturally for Arabic readers.
  • English terms inside Arabic text, such as "Excel", "IFRS" or "PMP", stay readable instead of reversing the sentence.
  • Phone numbers and emails keep their left-to-right order inside the Arabic layout.
  • The Word (.docx) export keeps the right-to-left direction, so the file still looks right when an employer opens it.

Mixing Arabic and English terms

In the Gulf and much of the region, job ads in Arabic still use English names for tools, standards and certifications. Keep those names in English (SAP, AutoCAD, ACCA) so that both people and search filters find them, and write everything else in clear Modern Standard Arabic.

If the ad is in English, send an English CV. If it is in Arabic, or the employer is a government body, an Arabic CV is often expected. Some applicants keep both versions.

Gulf and regional conventions

  • A professional photo is common and optional in Gulf countries. Sira CV lets you show or hide it.
  • Nationality, residency status, visa type and a driving licence are often included in the Gulf, but only add what is relevant and what you are comfortable sharing.
  • Date of birth and marital status are optional; leave them out unless the ad asks.
  • List languages with a level: Arabic (native), English (fluent), French (intermediate).

Check before you send

Run the rule-based ATS readiness check on your Arabic CV and paste the Arabic job ad to see keyword coverage. It explains every point and is an estimate, not a guarantee from any employer's system.

Frequently asked questions

Can I create the same CV in Arabic and English?

Yes, as two CVs: each CV has its own plan, from $4.99 once. Choose the CV language in the builder; the interface is available in English, Arabic and French.

Should I put a photo on an Arabic CV?

In the Gulf a professional photo is common but optional. Follow the job ad; if in doubt, a neat head-and-shoulders photo or no photo are both acceptable.

Will an ATS read an Arabic CV?

Many systems used in the region handle Arabic text, but support varies. A single-column layout, standard headings and real text in the PDF give the best chance. No tool can guarantee how a specific system behaves.
